With starting point in the core values of The Ocean Race, Human endeavor and Ocean Health, we develop the future Ocean Live Park concept to be a vibrant, fun and educational hotspot for sailing ethusiasts. For the 2022-2023 The Ocean Race, we also developed the immersive One Blue Voice pavilion and partner pavilions for Helly Hansen and others with stop overs in Alicante, Cabo Verde, Cape Town, Itajai, Newport, Aarhus, The Hague and Genova. As responsible for all implementation of the Ocean Live Park features we are now planning for the coming races.
Results
With over 1,8 million vistors to 9 different stop overs worldwide and 96 open days The Ocean Live Park at the 14th edition of The Ocean Race reduced greenhouse gas emissions with 75% compared to previous race. This edition was run on 100% renewable energy and over 53% of the resouces was recovered. (The Ocean Race racereport 22-23).
